Frequently asked questions

FAQ's

How much does it cost?

This depends on a number of factors; room size, how soiled the material is, if any specialist stain remover is required, and the number of areas being cleaned. It it best to give us a call and send us photos so we can advise.

What types of upholstery can you clean?

We clean the vast majority of upholstery from fabrics to leather. There are a few types of fine fabrics that are unable to be wet cleaned and require more specialist treatment. We always test your fabrics in an inconspicuous area to ensure we can wet clean. If for any reason we can't proceed with your clean, we will advise you as soon as possible and no charge will be applicable.

Do I have to clear the room?

We are able to clean around large items such as sofas and beds. If you'd prefer us to clean underneath these items,  then they will need to be removed until the room has dried.

How long does it take to dry?

It varies. Temperature, air flow and what method of cleaning we have had to use all determine how long drying can take. As a rough guide expect drying to take 24 hours, but can be anything from 30 mins to 48hrs. We'll do our best to advise you on the day.

Is there anything that can be done to reduce drying time?

Yes, there are lots of things we can do. We follow industry best practice and use additional "dry passes" with our machinery to remove as much moisture as possible.  Afterwards, opening windows and using fans to increase air flow will speed up the process. We also offer a very low moisture cleaning service (VLM), that will dry within a couple of hours.

Are there any additional costs to be aware of?

Yes. Certain types of staining (pet urine) will incur an additional charge due to additional labour and chemicals needed. When we arrive we can assess the condition of your carpets/upholstery as part of our pre clean survey and can advise from there.

I've spilt something. What do I do?

Firstly, don't panic. We've all done it. The best thing you can do is to blot up as much as possible with clean towels and/or tissue. Do not scrub as this could spread the stain further. Then give us a call. Do not attempt to clean yourself as, without the correct chemicals, this can set the stain further into the fibres. If you are reading this after already attempting to clean a stain, please let us know what you have used as this will help us in adjusting our processes.

Do I need to be present while my carpet is cleaned?

No, we understand that this can sometimes be difficult. We can arrange to collect and return your keys. Give us a call to discuss.

I have young children/pets. Is what you use safe?

Yes, what we use is safe. There is no risk to children or pets posed by the products we use. However, we do suggest that you keep children and pets in a separate room whilst we are cleaning as there can be trip hazards and a fair amount of noise.

I have wool carpets. Can you clean these?

Yes, as part of our pre clean survey we will identify if there is wool or other more delicate fibres present in your carpet/upholstery. We have an array of wool safe products to suit all needs.

Do you offer discount for multiple rooms?

Yes, we do offer a discount for multiple rooms/areas. Give us a call for a quote.

Do you clean commercial properties?

Yes, we clean commercial properties e.g., schools, pubs, offices. We appreciate that these premises may need cleaning out of normal business hours, and we are happy to do this. We recommend low moisture cleaning for commercial properties, as to avoid any downtime.

Do you clean rugs?

Not at the moment. For a thorough cleaning of rugs, this requires a large facility and more specialist equipment to ensure a quality clean and returned to you completely dry. We can point you in the right direction of rug specialists, if required.
